Somewhere along the way, we were all handed a timeline.
Graduate by this age.
Have it all figured out by that one.
Find your calling. Build the life. Do it all—and do it fast.
And if you don’t?
The pressure builds.
The shame creeps in.
You start asking questions like,
“Did I miss my moment?”
“Is it too late for me?”
But here’s a truth no one talks about nearly enough:
The timeline isn’t real.
It was built by someone else, for someone else—based on rules that may not even fit your life, your pace, or your purpose.
So what if… you stopped measuring your life by when things are supposed to happen?
What if that detour you’ve been beating yourself up over was actually the scenic route?
What if that slow season was where your roots were growing deeper?
What if the wait wasn’t a delay—but a divine recalibration?
I’ve had to remind myself of this. A lot.
Especially in the quiet seasons—those in-between moments where it feels like nothing’s happening… but everything is shifting beneath the surface.
Transformation isn’t always loud. It’s often invisible.
Until one day, it’s not.
One day, you wake up and realize—you’ve changed.
So if you’ve been feeling “behind,” let me offer this reframe:
You’re not late. You’re not lost. You’re not behind.
You’re becoming.
You’re blooming.
And you’re doing it all right on time.
This Week’s Invitation:
Start paying attention to the moments when you feel like you’re falling behind.
Pause and ask yourself:
• Whose timeline am I really following?
• And what if mine looks different on purpose?
Maybe your season of “waiting” is actually your season of becoming.
P.S. Later this week on the podcast, I’m sharing stories of people who found their thing later in life—and why that timing turned out to be their greatest gift. If you’ve ever worried your moment has passed, this is your reminder that it hasn’t.
