So, what does it mean to "go first"? It's about being the change you want to see in the world. Want to experience more love? Be loving. Craving more abundance? Act abundantly. Seeking more kindness? Be kind. Whatever it is, you go first, and the universe will follow suit.
I recently came across this idea and decided to test it out on my family vacation. I was looking forward to the trip and had been consistently meditating, which put me in a good headspace. I felt happy and wanted my energy to reflect that.
How the Universe Responded
When we were walking through airport security, out of nowhere, someone opened up a new security line starting with me and my family. It was such a pleasant surprise! This was actually the second time this has happened to me in the past month. You might remember I mentioned a similar experience during my retreat trip in the "Is Your Wi-Fi On?" Thought Gem.
This seriously never happens to me!
Then, I hesitated booking the ferry trip to Catalina Island, and we ended up catching an extremely early ferry which didn’t go over well with the family. But, on this ferry, one of my sons discovered we were sitting next to one of the stars from the Dune movie series, Rebecca Ferguson! We had an entire beautiful conversation with her and her husband! They were both so kind and such beautiful souls.
I later realized she’s also the actress from The Greatest Showman and sings one of my favorite songs, "Never Enough." Side note, it’s actually Loren Allred’s voice but Rebecca does a great job lip-syncing. I've included a clip of her performance below. How amazing that she was just casually sitting next to us on a ferry we weren’t even supposed to be on!
We also ran into her again when we were signing up to rent a golf cart to tour the island. I originally wanted to go straight there, but we chose to eat first. I was concerned that we would miss our window and the lines would be long, but it all worked out perfectly because we had a chance to say hi again and the boys took a selfie!
I smiled and realized that I needed to continue to trust the timing of the universe. And when you work on your own energy first—the universe delivers! This trip has not only been beautiful reconnecting with family, it’s also been so easy. Traffic, reservations, parking—everything is so easy when you go first. The universe responds beautifully.

Your Turn
This week, I challenge you to go first. Be the love you want to see, radiate what you want to receive, and watch how the universe responds. Have fun with it and play a game with the universe!
With adventurous vibes,
xoxo Tracy
